AIX is the proprietary Unix operating system developed and released by IBM. See the AIX Terminology for a list of commonly used terms.

The BigFix Patch solution keeps your AIX clients current with the latest Maintenance or Technology Level package and Service Packs. Interim Fixes are also available via the AIX Interim Fix Management Wizard.. For more information about the types of patches for AIX, see here.

 

Supported versions

The AIX versions supported by the Patches for AIX site can be viewed here. Note that patch remediation is not available through the BigFix content for AIX 5.1 and AIX 5.2.
